It renders the controls inaccessible unless you’re willing to fasten in completely. And surely, nobody is so tall as to need two feet of cable between the headset and their collar or wherever they’re clipping this thing. You have to remember to remove both the headset and the control box whenever you get up. Top of the list is better mesh fabric for the ears.Ī clip does exist on the back of the dongle, so you can fasten it to your collar or whatever, but it’s inconvenient. There are other aspects I wish the G231 had carried over from its newer, more modern siblings. The color scheme is pretty low down my list of G231 missteps, though. The G231’s gray-and-orange color scheme draws attention to its size and odd profile. And really, the shape’s not overly different from the G633 or G933, but you know what they say: Black is slimming. They may look bizarre, but the elongated shape and a generous amount of foam padding ensure the G231 never rubs against my earlobes. I do love those diamond-shaped earcups though. It’s a pretty traditional Logitech design, all things told-like an enterprise headset adapted for gaming. This headset looks as if Logitech hauled out its predecessor, the G230, then updated the logo on each ear and replaced the red highlights with orange. Last year’s G633 and G933 headsets ditched Logitech’s older, more conservative design ethos for black coloring with LED highlights and a modernized angular look. the problem is that when others speak and or there are sounds around my external speakers are feeding into my headset and keying my mic in open comms. Also, others in discord are speaking to me and they are keying my mic when I am open voice comms. so I hit that tape with my hand today and in the headset, I hear it the tape making a crackling sound. I have my speaks with a bit of tape on them next to the monitor. so I see this post and I go into Realtek and change the setting to "Separate all input Jacks.

using the Morph Vox driver I am getting very low volume levels and the Morph Vox sounds scratchy. got the old disc out and loaded the old driver got speakers back. I tried installing the new audio driver and bam.

#LOGITECH G230 MICROPHONE PROBLEM PRO#

I use Morph Vox pro for gaming and could not get it to work right as it uses a separate driver then the normally audio driver for my Realtek. Any is appreciated.įirst, thank you for this post it helped as I have had tons of mic issues ever since I changed my mic using Windows 7. I have combed tons of forums and even found another thread with the same issue, but it was outdated from 2 years ago and no fixes for Windows 7. It's not because my sound is on max either, if I have the sound at 20% they hear it at the exact same level on top of listening to me talk. They say it sounds like I'm not even using a headset at all and people tell me to turn off my speakers and put on my headset all the time when this isn't the case!

#LOGITECH G230 MICROPHONE PROBLEM WINDOWS 7#

So I'm guessing it's a Windows 7 thing but I have combed every option and I just don't know what to do. This was not happening on my old computer with the same headset. For example when I'm playing any game or listening to music and talking to someone, they can hear everything that is happening with crystal clearness. The problem I am having is this: when talking to someone in Skype, my microphone is somehow picking up any output audio that my headset is receiving. Not using a sound card either, just using an integrated one.

The one I have now is Windows 7 64 bit home premium. I just recently bought a new computer and I did not have the same issue on the old computer (which was XP). I have a problem that I hope can be fixed.
